⚠️ WARNING: DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO BISHOP VET'S OFFICE ⚠️ GRAPHIC CONTENT — PHOTOS ATTACHED I'm heartbroken and furious. This post is about a cat I rescued—he was found abandoned in a vacant home, starving, dehydrated, but fighting to survive. After I took him in and got him healthy, I rehomed him to a loving friend who has cared for and spoiled him ever since. Recently, he was taken to Bishop Vet for a routine neuter. That’s when everything went horribly wrong. The clinic claimed his testicles hadn’t dropped, so instead of doing the responsible thing—like performing an ultrasound or contacting the owner—they proceeded with invasive surgery without proper diagnostic steps or consent. They never located the testicles during surgery, but still stitched him back up and sent him home with pain meds. This cat was completely healthy before walking into that office. The owner was not informed or consulted before they made the decision to open him up. After surgery, the vet falsely claimed they had found the testicles. That was a lie. By the next morning, the cat was vomiting blood, screaming in pain, and refusing to eat or drink. On day two, the symptoms worsened—he was vomiting large amounts of blood. After finally getting a hold of the vet, they charged an emergency fee and added multiple other fees, eventually totaling $1,300—all due to their own negligence. Tragically, the cat did not survive the night. This isn’t an isolated case. I personally know three other families in our area who have experienced similar acts of negligence from Bishop Vet. It’s become clear they care more about money than the animals or the families they claim to serve. They emotionally manipulate and take advantage of pet owners—especially those of us coming from Tonopah. I used to hear great things about this clinic. I now realize those claims were false. My mother, Ilene Rivera, also experienced serious misconduct from Bishop Vet before her passing. She was strong-armed by the clinic's owner into silence. Well, not this time. We are pursuing legal action. Someone will be held accountable.

Outstanding vet, staff very client oriented and efficient. In older building, front end could use some clean up and paint but probably hard to find a reasonable price for space in Tonopah. Very busy. Just so glad they sacrifice and make the trip so we have services.
